I’m Dami, founder of Baseline.
I coach durability because I’ve spent my whole life testing the limits of my own.
I earned my degree in psychology at Christopher Newport University, where I competed as a pole vaulter, then earned a master’s in counseling education. After years as a school counselor, coaching became the work. I’m an ISSA-certified personal trainer, RRCA-certified run coach, Salomon ambassador, and co-leader of a DMV-based run club because community is something I’ve built my life around.
But the best reason to trust me with your training is simple: I’ve spent years putting my body through the demands of endurance and strength sports, and I’m still here, still running, and still training.
The resume
• 2:58 marathon across five finishes
• 1:20 half marathon
• 4:50 mile
• 14'9" pole vault PR
• Two Speed Project ultra relays
• 400-mile ultra relay from Canada to NYC
• Hyrox and Spartan competitions
• 20,000 Navy SEAL burpees in one yearWhy it matters to you
I didn’t accomplish these things through raw effort alone. I learned how to build an aerobic base, respect mechanics, manage load, and develop a body that can handle what I ask of it.
I’ve been the injured runner starting over. I’ve also learned how to stop starting over.
That’s why Baseline exists.
Train For Decades, Not Just Seasons

I coach like a guide, not a drill sergeant. Before we change anything, I want to understand your history, your patterns, and what your body's been trying to tell you.
I ask more than I tell. Instead of "fix your form," you'll hear "what did you feel in that stride? Anything different between your left and right?" That's on purpose. I spent years as a school counselor and educator, and I learned that people internalize what they discover for themselves far better than what they're ordered to do.
Every session starts from data. Your mechanics, your heart rate, your movement patterns. But the numbers only point the way. Your felt experience confirms the answer.
Expect honesty about timelines. You've been moving a certain way for years. A few weeks isn't slow. I won't let you skip steps, and I won't promise a transformation your body can't deliver on that schedule.
And expect me to actually be in it with you. Real excitement when something clicks. Steady accountability when it's hard. The work is serious, so I am too.
